The good news is we have established a base camp with postseason play being consistent ... There have been real good Kentucky teams, but it is usually a one- or two-year blip and then it goes back to not very good. The consistency of our run into the fourth year is the most pleasing thing.
I think it's just difficult to make the transition because the athletes you are going against are elite, tremendous players ... Many of them go on to play in the NFL, so you're playing against terrific athletes with speed and terrific size on the outside.
They are kind of a combination of Florida, Auburn and Louisiana-Monroe (schematically) ... They do some things differently than Florida. They do some things very similar to Florida. We just have to prepare for Mississippi State and get ready to try to play their offense.

I've said what I'm going to say on it; that's it, I'm done ... I'm worried about Mississippi State, believe it or not. That is the most important thing. We're playing a very, very important football game, and we'd better worry about them trying to come in here and trying to knock us out in our own stadi...
We're not that far from where we would like to be if we had everybody healthy ... The good news is we're a lot further ahead of where we used to be given the fact that we didn't have those four starters and we were still in the game with an opportunity to win on the road at South Carolina. Three or four...
When you don't have your starting quarterback and your starting two corners, it makes a major impact on your football team - I don't care you who are ... You can be Florida, you can be Alabama, but if they lose their starting quarterback and their two starters, they're a little bit different team.
We just played the top two defenses in the country. Alabama's defense is just as good as Florida's. They're a great football team. I expect to see them in the SEC championship game

This is a big challenge, and this is a game that is critically important if we want to move up in the SEC East standings ... It is important to South Carolina as it is to us. They are 1-1 and we are 0-2. This will go a long way for the final rankings in the SEC East, so it is a big, big game.
I don’t know that any one (streak) is bigger than the other because streaks are streaks ... All I know is that South Carolina and Kentucky are in the bottom to the middle of the food chain in the SEC east, and if either one of us want to climb that ladder, we have to beat each other. I think Alabama, defensively, is just as good as Florida, (might) be better ... Offensively, they're a totally different style.

They’re not any worse ... Alabama is as good as Florida, just in a different way. ... They have no weakness. They could be the No. 1 team in the nation. After it’s all said and done, they might be.

Either that or that'll get Alabama real fired up to come in here and make sure that we don't hang around. I think that what we did last year really has very little bearing on what we do this year, game to game ... The only thing that, in my mind, makes it a little bit better for us defensively is that (Alabama plays) a more conventional offense ... We'll be able to work more (in practice) against our people on our offense rather than trying to simulate a very difficult offense that Florida runs with scouts.
