View Photo »I would have to say this is probably as good as it gets ... You know, to have the three cars in the points where they are right now [Jeff Gordon, another Hendrick driver, is third behind Johnson and Martin], having the championship as owner going into Homestead already secured, we've won a lot of races ...
We operated on our own ... Look at the standings now and there are three Rick Hendrick teams (Johnson, Mark Martin and Gordon) at the top, and they share information. More power to them; that's the way racing is these days. But it's not the same. It's like I told Jeff Gordon after he won his fifth South...
If Mark Martin joins our organization, it will make all of us better ... And he has made all of us better. I don't know how this guy hasn't won a championship.
We were great in Phoenix in April ... I have no doubt that we'll run strong there again this weekend. And there's no reason for me to think that we won't have a strong race in Homestead, either. Performance-wise, this is one of the best teams out there, and I am so proud and feel so blessed to be drivin...
I don't think she's important to our future ... I mean, she would add a new dimension, maybe if she participated in the Nationwide Series or Cup Series one day. But I don't think that's going to make any difference where NASCAR is.
When a Rick Hendrick's car leaves the ground
We had kind of planned to get together about Charlotte and sit down with he and Lance

We have no deal but she has spoke with Kelley Earnhardt about a limited number of NASCAR races in that car
I can't thank Dale Jr enough for this opportunity ... JR Motorsports is a quality organisation. They win races and they contend for championships. As a driver, that's all you can ever ask for. They have a tremendous infrastructure of support with Rick Hendrick and Tony Eury Sr. These are people who know...
When you've won and run well, and Jimmie and Chad are always going to know they are under the microscope -- that's [going to be] part of it ... We actually don't mind that. NASCAR is fair and if they want to check us every week, that's OK. I understand. I really do.
I want to be another Rick Hendrick or a Richard Childress
Mark Martin is never going to retire
We have no deal but she has spoke with Kelley Earnhardt [Dale Jr's sister who handles that teams business affairs] about a limited number of NASCAR races in that car
