View Photo »It’s different; that goes without saying. At the same time, I’m not going to put my head down, not going to get down on myself. We’re winning games. Cory’s playing well. I’m working hard and I want to be ready when it’s my turn. That’s it. I’m a good team guy and I want to put the team ahead of me.
Schneider making his sixth straight start in goal… Vigneault insisted Roberto Luongo remains the No. 1 goalie… he’s just RIDING THE HOT HAND… fascinating… given how Luongo’s season ended… It continues to boost Schneider’s trade value… if the Canucks decide to move him.
I know this is a big story, but I don’t want to keep addressing it every day
It's different but at the same time I'm not going to put my head down, I'm not going to get down on myself
It's a game-by-game basis so I'm just going to work hard in practice and when I'm called upon I'll be ready
The team’s winning ... There’s no need to be panicked, or frustrated, or anything like that. When the team’s winning hockey games, life is good. We’re trying to climb up the standings and back to where were last year. That’s the bottom line for everybody in this locker room.
I think Cory has unbelievable talent and he’s been working his bag off for the last two years ... He never complained and was always 100-per-cent behind me. The same thing goes for me. He deserves what he’s getting right now. There’s no doubt that he could be a starter in this league. It’s about the Van...

I've been in this League a long time, and I've been through a lot of things ... There's no reason to speculate beyond tomorrow. I'm not going to start thinking about long term. It happens all the time ... Even this year it's happened to a few teams, Minny and a few other teams. It's a long season. There's a lot of hockey to be played. There's no reason for me to be frustrated if we're winning hockey games.
He has been busting his butt for the last two years and he has always been behind me 100 per cent
You live and learn. The bottom line is we didn't play well enough in those last two games. We couldn't come any closer to winning a Cup than that. It was tough, but, you know, we're still a real good team and we want to be there again.
It's fun to build a relationship with him and we all know the skill set he has ... It's not about Cory and me. It's about the Vancouver Canucks and winning games.
There’s always that line between coaches and players that doesn’t get crossed ... He’s a good guy, but he’s our coach and there’s a lot of respect between the players and the coach.
