Youngsters like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja need to be given a chance to cut their teeth at the high level. Basically we need a totally new team, a total infusion of new talent

It was not an easy situation to be in
IPL is not the only thing that is affecting the performance. The (tour itinerary) is faulty. There were not sufficient games before the start of the series or in between the Tests. The reserves in the team, like Rohit Sharma and wicket keeper Wriddhiman Saha have not played for more than a month
I was little disappointed for not finishing the game. Winning the game is more important than scoring in a losing cause. I never want to do stuff like this again

Of course that (win in second ODI) will be a gift (for her)

We (me and Jadeja) shared about 80-90 runs which was really crucial. When Jadeja got out we needed one more small partnership (with R Vinay Kumar). With dew, we knew it was not going to be easy for the bowlers. We just decided on building partnerships and did well on that factor
Rohit is a talented batsman. He is improving match by match. He is proving himself. He is one of the best. A win is a win. It does not matter by one wicket or 10, it was important that we started well. We are 1-0 up. Full credit to Rohit Sharma, Jadeja and Vinay Kumar; they built the innings on partners...
The wicket here is batsmen-friendly. We will try to keep that record intact. We want to focus on our preparation and we have to take it from there. We dont want to think too far ahead
My decision was absolutely right. You were chasing 212 after all. When you lose five quick wickets, it's difficult to come back. I praise Rohit Sharma and Jadeja as their partnership took us there. After that Vinay and Rohit had a good partnerships. It's not easy when you lose five six wickets. The way ...
These Ranji matches gave me an opportunity. Also I was coming back from injury and so had to prove that I am back in business

No, it is not frustrating
India`s poor summer in England was largely due to injuries to key players. (Virender) Sehwag, Harbhajan (Singh), Zaheer (Khan), (Gautam) Gambhir, Rohit Sharma pulled out at various stages of the tour and this upset the team totally.
Frankly, I never realised earlier what it means to be in the Test side. Like any young boy, I was happy to just be with the Indian team. I went to Sri Lanka and then missed out on a chance against South Africa. The best way to learn is through mistakes you have made. One day I just thought of where thin...
I think all three in contention (Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane) are amazingly talented batsmen and match-winners. India is very lucky to have three talented youngsters. They will be true match winners in the years to come
It would be great to make a Test debut at home
