In a way I was expecting a lot, especially from Roland Garros in 2009, because I had the best year on clay courts by far.
Is like every year when I arrive to Roland Garros, everybody talk I am the favorite, no? Finally important thing is who plays better on the court
It doesn't matter. It's like every year when I arrive to Roland Garros, everybody says I am the favourite. The important thing is who plays better on the court.
In my last match with Nadia Petrova (at Roland Garros), it was really bad and I couldn’t even shake hands.
When I couldn't play Roland Garros and Wimbledon, when I couldn't even go to the stadium in Roland Garros, I wasn't allowed . . . that's not a nice thing, even when you did nothing at all
When I couldn't play Roland Garros and Wimbledon and couldn't go the stadium - in Roland Garros, I wasn't allowed - that is not a nice thing ... Even when you did nothing at all. That's life. It happened. I think it was a nightmare and a movie. I'm not sure it happened really, but, yeah, for sure it hap...
Of course, I have the ambition to win Roland Garros but it's not the most important thing for me
I’ve known Robin for a while and it was great to see his incredible run at the French Open. I think he’s really picked it up and it’s great to see. It was obviously hard starting the year against him in a rematch of Roland Garros. I had fun though.
It was an incredible year for me both on and off the court ... To win my first Roland Garros title, break the all-time Grand Slam record and regain the No. 1 ranking is amazing. It means a lot to me to finish the year again at the top.
@Venuseswilliams Hey Venus, good luck this year... I hope you finally win the Roland Garros!
