Ron Artest said we were going to have to grind out this game ... It is a kind of grinding team. We are going to have to be physical and aggressive and are just going to have to play at that level.

Ron Artest said we were going to have to grind out this game ... It is a kind of grinding team. We are going to have to be physical and aggressive and are just going to have to play at that level.
Personally (the year in Houston) was great, but financially I wasn't able to reach my full potential in my last go-round possibly
I nominate Ron Artest for throwing Trevor Ariza's shoe off the court. Backyardstyle. But, y'know, Karma is a bitch.
That’s my whole career, except my first year when Elton (Brand) was in Chicago
I want Trevor to do too much ... We let him play. I think he's got to play. It's kind of unique in that two free agents (Ariza and Ron Artest) chose the other team or got picked by the other team. But I think Trevor's got a pretty good head on his shoulders. I always loved it when Chris Webber went agai...
I just tried to get up in him, tried to do the things I normally do ... I've guarded Kobe, LeBron James. It's all about playing hard. I'm a little heavier this year, but I'm also quicker. I'm probably about three pounds heavier. Yeah, I weigh myself every day and I'm 265. So with that and some added mus...
I'll tell you what, now that they've got Ron Artest, I couldn't think of anything better ... If you would have said, what one player - and I'll get killed over this - what one player would you like to see on the Lakers? Ron Artest. Could you imagine? Ron Artest has got the ball, and Kobe (Bryant) is sta...
I'm just looking at Oklahoma (City, on Tuesday). You can't go any farther than that. These are big games. We're going for home advantage. Some teams haven't lost yet.
I'll tell you what, now that they've got Ron Artest, I couldn't think of anything better ... If you would have said, what one player - and I'll get killed over this - what one player would you like to see on the Lakers? Ron Artest. Could you imagine? I want to ask him what team do I fit on? What team best fits me? Should I not be in the NBA? ... Maybe you can ask him.
I'll tell you what, now that they've got Ron Artest, I couldn't think of anything better ... If you would have said, what one player - and I'll get killed over this - what one player would you like to see on the Lakers? Ron Artest. Could you imagine? I'm trying to find my way around that and do what (coach Phil Jackson is asking) ... He wants me to be more aggressive. But I'm just transitioning into that. Coming from Phil, that's definitely a compliment.
If they (the Cavs) don’t accommodate him, he’s going to New York or Miami and they get nothing. But if they do in a sign and trade to save the franchise, they get a young, potential All-Star center in Andrew Bynum. Maybe Lamar Odom as well or Ron Artest. Draft picks, some pieces like Jordan Farmar.
I get a chance to play with Phil Jackson ... That’s pretty crazy. Amazing. Shocking. Every word that means something like that.
We picked up our intensity tonight ... It started with #37 (Ron Artest). He picked up the energy level defensively and I told him, the game was on him. I felt like the energy really changed the complexity of the game and we all kind of rallied behind him.
For me, I'm obsessed with Michael. I bought tickets to his first show in London and was going to see him and then he passed away
Big free-agent contracts are much harder to live up to for role players who move to new cities and are expected to be stars. That's not the case with Odom, especially with Ron Artest coming in to join Kobe Bryant & Co. They might have the best defensive team in the NBA
As long as you can play basketball, work hard, come to work every day, get your training in, get your extra work in, I think it's important that the fans get entertained ... It's important that Mark Cuban says stuff like that. It's great for the fans. It's something to read and it keeps it interesting. ...
Fernandez, to my eyes, is the Blazer who walks that walk most comfortably. A lot of Portland's fans (egged on, dare I say, by their local broadcasters) lament things like how Ron Artest or Yao Ming get to hit Brandon Roy's arms. But I suspect Fernandez sees all that and thinks: We get to hit arms! Cool!
That's what I love about Kobe. He's so tough ... He was great when he was younger, but he's much more competitive now. I didn't envision myself playing with him. I always wanted to play against him. I always wanted to beat Kobe Bryant. But I'm more than happy to be playing with Kobe.
They add another defender, which will let Kobe roam ... What got them over the top last year was their defense, and I think they showed (in the preseason) they're a better defensive team now than they were last year. I don't know if it's all Ron Artest, but I think that's a part of it.
Someday, I'd like to go visit all those countries that (the U.S.) really doesn't have great relationships with ... Because I think the people are more important than politics. Go to Afghanistan, even North Korea. Just to say `hi' to the people. It's a short life, and you don't want to spend it hating on...
The speed revolution has overtaken some of basketball’s peers, most notably football ... Is basketball headed in the same direction? [Aaron] Brooks provides an excellent case study. Beginning the year as the Rockets number one threat on offense with Ron Artest’s departure and injuries to Tracy McGrady a...
If Ron Artest plays like Ron Artest, the Lakers [will repeat] ... I understand what Ron can do and how he can help a team out. I also know how he can hurt a ballclub with his misguided actions.
