I think in the past there was a bigger market in lesser European countries for an English manager because England`s coaching badges were so highly regarded
We looked at this last night. There's Roy Hodgson at Fulham and Gerard Houllier, who's out of a job just now. These two have been at the top in Europe and at international level.
The Germans and the Dutch have been much cleverer and have actually sold their coaching image in a way that we in England haven’t
It is tried and trusted with the gaffer ... It's the same at club level for me with Fulham. It must be the Italian thing with Roy Hodgson having worked over there as well [at Internazionale and Udinese].
My greatest achievement would have to be the water-into-wine job at Halmstads in 1976, but taking Switzerland to the last 16 of a World Cup and reaching the Uefa Cup final with Internazionale were good, and there were the five successive league titles with Malmo. Yet Fulham is something I’m just as prou...
Ngog is simply not good enough for a club the size of Liverpool. He wouldn’t get into any of the top 10 Premier League sides. In fact, Roy Hodgson wouldn’t swap Bobby Zamora or Andy Johnson for Ngog – and Fulham are 12th.
They are a good team and I think Steve Bruce did a good job in organising them there. He left a good legacy and Roberto Martinez has continued the good work
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is ready to make a cut-price move for Middlesbrough’s midfield star Gary O’Neil
There's no doubt that the Barclays Premier League is getting tougher and tougher to survive in
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is trying to wrap up a deal for American Brek Shea.
If I was Manchester United or Arsenal or Chelsea I don't think I would be writing them off
Craven Cottage boss Roy Hodgson enquired about the striker when Spurs pipped him to the signing of Peter Crouch in the summer. And he is ready to tempt Spurs again, either with a cutprice £7m bid or the offer of a loan deal for the player.
Marlon’s agent is fairly clear on the subject and has a very cynical view ... He believes there is no moral judgment in football and the fact the person we’re talking about can score goals will blot any moral values people will have. I don’t know if that’s true, but I don’t think he’ll be signed by Fulh...
Eleven reasons why we love Roy Hodgson
It’s very nice to be mentioned ... I’ve made clear to the people that contacted me that I have a contract here at Fulham and I intend to honour that contract.
This is a terrific capture for us and I'd like to thank Roy Hodgson and everyone at Fulham for allowing us to take him on loan
He got that very, very bad shoulder injury against Amkar Perm which still rankles with us
I’m just looking forward to my Fulham days. It’s great to be back down here (in London), working with such top players like Dan (Danny Murphy) and obviously a top manager in Roy Hodgson
Andy came back earlier from the injury that he sustained against Amkar Perm than perhaps he should have done
I would imagine that he will not get a bad reception but I don't know how fans think in those areas ... The game has changed enormously in that respect. In the past you wouldn't have imagined it but these days you see Barry getting booed every touch he makes when playing for Man City against Aston Villa...

As far as we're concerned we want Brede Hangeland to stay with us here ... We are going to be as desperate as a club can be to hold onto him. In the meantime the speculation will be abounding and we will get on with the job and try not to be too disturbed by them. He is happy here at Fulham and not desp...
He's learnt a lot, one game like that in Europe against a team of that quality is worth a lot of Reserve matches. He made one or two mistakes during the game but was very quick to rectify them. I thought, if you analysed his performance over the 90 minutes, that he played with a maturity that I'm not en...
Basle were good, as any team who can beat Roma 2-0 would be. They have a good pedigree in Europe
We certainly don't see Europe as a distraction, we regard it as an interesting adventure ... If you don't want distractions then you should refuse the offer to qualify for Europe. There was never any question of us doing that. We tried to finish as high as we could in the Premier League last season.
Since I left [Switzerland], they've done fantastically well ... They're an excellent team and they've a good pedigree in Europe. They've beaten many top sides so we're well aware that we're playing a team seeded above us in the group. We're preparing ourselves for a strong challenge and hopefully we can...
