While United are not yet firing on all cylinders, the same could be said of Liverpool ... Now that Albert Riera and Robbie Keane look comfortable, Fernando Torres is back from injury and Javier Mascherano and Ryan Babel are approaching full fitness, it could be full steam ahead.
Why doesn't the transfer window apply to managers and coaches as well players? If I was a Pompey supporter I would be gutted right now. I did think Harry's comments about a final opportunity to manage a 'big' club were quite amusing. Tottenham, in the era of the Premier League at any rate, have never been a 'big' club and I reckon there's a very good chance they will never be a 'big' club.
I feel sorry for players like Crouch whose main decision to move was to get back with Harry. Will Crouch move again in January?? Will there be an exodus of Pompey players now that Harry has left?
I think Harry's strengths are Ramos' weaknesses. I don't think Ramos could have gruelled us out of the bottom three, but Harry is one of the few that probably could. I'm not his biggest fan, but I think he can turn us around.
I'm a Spurs fan in shock, nothing at this club should surprise me though. I'm in danger of smiling! Do feel for Pompey fans. It's a cruel sport at times.
So much for the credit crunch, eh? 5 million compo to Pompey, goodness knows how much to pay off Ramos and a nice new pay packet for 'Arry!
