Our series will continue tomorrow with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Milwaukee turned a corner in 2011, winning 96 games (19 more than in 2010) on their way to their first division title since 1983. The Brewers were in the NLCS, Ryan Braun won the MVP, and...
Even when there has been actual baseball-related news, Dodger fans have been give little reason to improve their blue mood. Center fielder Matt Kemp narrowly lost out on the National League Most Valuable Player award to Ryan Braun. Rotation mainstay...

It's hard to put into words what this means to me
Ryan Braun situation has overshadowed him a bit, but Aramis Ramirez will report to camp this spring as the Brewers' most notable offseason acquisition. 2012 will be his 15th major league season (all within the NL Central), and he's already accumulated...
The defending division-champion Brewers, already hurt by Prince Fielder's departure, stare at the possibility of also being without MVP Ryan Braun for almost one-third of the season. Should Braun's 50-game suspension be upheld, Milwaukee's chances of...
Based on what Jocketty has done, the future is now. Now is the time for all good teams to surface in the NL Central. Division champion Milwaukee is crippled. The Brewers lost Prince Fielder through free agency to the Detroit Tigers and will lose MVP...

That injury was just bad medical luck, but I'm guessing the injury delayed Zimmerman's dreams of landing a Troy Tulowitzki- or Ryan Braun-type contract this early in the process (especially when there were/are other trophies to be bagged).
Burnett would stand to benefit from a move to the Pirates. He’d be pitching in a division that has seen Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder join the American League, and might not have to face Ryan Braun for the first 50 games of the season. That’s three...
Chicago Cubs have watched an interesting offseason. They saw Prince Fielder and Albert Pujols leave the National League all together. The Milwaukee Brewers were hit even harder when 2011 MVP Ryan Braun tested positive for PED’s in his system. Braun...

View Photo »I think if he took the next six games off, he'd still be in great position to win that award
That injury was just bad medical luck, but I'm guessing the injury delayed Zimmerman's dreams of landing a Troy Tulowitzki- or Ryan Braun-type contract this early in the process (especially when there were/are other trophies to be bagged).
We have so much in common. We're only a couple of weeks apart in age. We both play in the state of Wisconsin and understand how special it is to have the opportunity to play in front of those fans and that group of people
I think ultimately I won it because they put a better team around me
We’ve seen Ryan Braun and Evan Longoria do it. In this case, [Dan Lozano, agent for Pujols] probably could have gotten Albert his 30 or 40 million and then looked for the kill -- whereas, he took a much, much, bigger security blanket.
It's hard to put into words what this means to me ... It's very emotional and something I'm really proud of.
He wanted to see Ryan Braun selected as the National League most valuable player ... And that just happened.
I had a chance to go down to San Diego and see him play a couple of weeks ago and I know he was excited for me to potentially have the chance to win this award.
I am thankful that the San Diego Padres found enough value in Mark Kotsay to sign him, thus ending his reign of terrible baseball in Milwaukee. Brewers fans are also very thankful for NL MVP Ryan Braun and all that he does for the team and the city of Milwaukee.
I think having a second wild-card team is great for the game
Ryan Braun carried his team down the stretch and that was the difference maker ... It was an incredible year for Matt Kemp, but the voters rewarded Braun for getting Milwaukee into the postseason. Braun is one of the best players in the game, who just had a phenomenal year. It’s a well deserved honor.
Without a doubt, (he was) the best pitcher in baseball this year and, in my opinion, the most dominant individual player in the game this year
Ryan Braun is going to have a statue outside Miller Park someday
I think he was the single most dominant player in baseball this year
Matt Kemp was the best player in the league this year ... But Ryan Braun played on a team that played a meaningful game everyday and that's why he won the MVP.
As a position player I'm biased to the fact that I think position players should be at the forefront of the award, but if you honestly look at what he accomplished, how much he meant to that team and how dominant he truly was you cannot make any argument against him winning that award.
This really is a dream ... This is beyond my wildest dreams to be in this position at this point in my career.
If you honestly assess both of our seasons individually I think his numbers are probably better than mine, and I just feel fortunate to have been on the better team
Without a doubt I think it’s a drastically different experience playing meaningful games down the stretch
Matt’s one of the best players in the game. No question about it. The season he had will go down as one of the greatest in Dodgers history
And I know with Mark Attanasio, we're always going to be competitive
Matt’s one of the best players in the game, no question about that ... The season he had will go down as one of greatest in Dodgers history. I grew up a fan of the Dodgers, and in all my years following the team, I’ve never seen anyone have the kind of year he had. If he’d won, I certainly couldn’t argu...
I think if you honestly assess my season versus Matt Kemp’s, I think Matt Kemp probably had a better year than me, individually. But I was fortunate to be on a better team and had an opportunity to be in some big moments.
I’m not going to pretend like I wasn’t anxious or nervous because I was
