It's a challenging circuit; it has longer straights and tighter corners than at Kentucky, Kansas or Chicago ... It seems to always be windy there, which plays a big role in how we get around the circuit. It's a track that is difficult to keep your car on the bottom. We have quite a few downforce options...
I think I've improved, and certainly gained confidence going into a race weekend on these types of tracks ... We've had great runs at all of them this year -- Kansas, Texas, Kentucky and Chicago -- so I feel really good about closing out the season with a win.
The thought of getting back on the ovals though was a little daunting ... I took it upon myself really to say if 'I don't do this no one is going to feel as though personally I can go back and do it.' I was able to do the same thing at Edmonton, but really didn't get enough out of those sticker set (of tires) ... But here, I was determined to squeeze all of the juice I could out of those tires, and I didn't realize that Wilson also had the new set of tires.
