I was actually surprised that (the time) held that long. (Tony) Kanaan was definitely looking very quick this morning, as were a couple of other people. We knew (Ryan) Briscoe was super fast. It cooled off a little bit - I don't know if that helped or hurt it, but I knew Briscoe was going to be the guy to beat and unfortunately, he went last.
By re-signing with Andretti Green I'll be pretty much done ... I'm 33. It won't be a short deal. Driving for Roger Penske would be great but I can't say it's my dream. It's a good team -- as good as mine. If I had the opportunity I would do it, but I'm pretty good where I am right now. Right now, I think Roger is pretty happy with Ryan Briscoe.
I just got loose and ran into (Ryan) Briscoe. I feel bad for the oso*fresh team but obviously for Briscoe, too. I might have been able to save the car if he wasn't there. It was a long day, for sure, but I don't think that had anything to do with the incident. It was simply my mistake.
This is a team put together by John Cummiskey, who is the team manager, and Steve Luczo and Jay Penske. It is really their own deal and their first start on their two feet. What Ryan Briscoe had and what I have is two different worlds. That's why I give a lot of credit for the amount of work that these guys have put in, to come from a car from scratch, from having no help from anybody.
