The Pats pass defense has been much-maligned the last few seasons, but the lack of pass rush is just as culpable as their secondary. Arrington has become a more than capable corner opposite Devin McCourty. Last year, McCourty was an All-Pro as a rookie,

The result I'm looking Johnson had a key drop as Buffalo drove downfield in the final moments. From the Jets 47-yard line, Johnson was wide open and got both hands on Ryan Fitzpatrick's pass inside the 25. But he couldn't hold on. I didn't react fast enough. It could have been a touchdown

It's hard to look at the big picture right now because of what we've done the last few weeks so we really need to focus on this one game as being the game that can get us back on track
For him to be able to practice all [last] week and really get a chance to understand the game plan and run those routes in practice, and for me and him to get on the same page, that was big for us ... It's the first time he's gone into a game knowing he was going to get extensive time at receiver and th...
You want to get off to a fast start
I had a guy one-on-one and gave him an opportunity and sometimes that goes your way, sometimes it doesn't
Yeah, that's been an issue for us the last few weeks
Whenever we have opportunities to do it when it's prudent, then we're going to throw it downfield ... We got the call with Stevie last week, Naaman made a nice catch on the sideline. So whenever the opportunity presents itself we're not afraid of throwing it downfield.
The all-hustle team right there
I think Stevie is the one that probably took the penalty the hardest
They had been playing us tough all game long, playing us with the bump man ... Cromartie is a very physical corner and he was in good position, but I threw it up. Sometimes you have to try to get your guys to make plays and allow them to have that opportunity and Brad made a lot of plays in practice so ...
The plays he made I thought he did a great job stepping in there ... He had a great week of practice. He’s a good wide receiver. He hasn’t had a lot of reps in terms of game reps to step in there and do what he did, but he’s a big target and a smart player.
We finally played better today ... Unfortunately, we weren't able to make the plays and it hurts. It hurts really bad right now.
I don't know how many receivers in the league make that catch
I was running to my right and the safety was back there with Revis on Stevie and I tried to throw it by the safety and by the time Steve looked for the ball it was behind him there in the end zone ... We had some legitimate shots.
Stevie did a good job all day with his routes and the catches ... They started double teaming him a little bit and giving (Revis) some help.
It's hard ... They scored at the end and we had a legitimate four chances to get it in there in the end zone and unfortunately we were unable to make the plays. It hurts real bad.
It hurts really bad right now ... You never like to lose, but these close ones usually hurt the most.
He’s a great corner and a really good player ... I felt like coming out of the last game, I didn’t throw it to Stevie as much as I should have. I let Stevie know when it’s one-on-one, ‘I’m throwing it to you every time.’ Stevie did a good job all day with his routes and catches and they started double t...
Some of the young guys are starting to realize that they're the next man up and they can't wait on anyone else anymore ... They got to go and they got to come into their role and bring that excitement level up and it was there pregame and in the locker room. That is something we need to continue to get ...
We had a good week of practices and there was a different feeling in the locker room
You never like to lose, but these close ones usually hurt the most
We finally played better even though we didn’t play well enough with the loss ... It’s hard. They scored at the end there and we legitimately had three chances down there to get it in the end zone and unfortunately weren’t able to make the plays. It hurts. It hurts real bad right now. You never like to ...
He hasn’t had a lot of reps in terms of game reps to step in there and do what he did, he’s a big target and a smart player ... The touchdown catch especially he did a great job.
We can't hang our hat in being close in games ... This is a game we got to win and we're definitely not satisfied with the effort because we didn't come out on top.
