Our travel industry faces serious challenges ... To lure visitors to Alaska, we have to be able to compete through top-notch marketing of Alaska’s wonders. The tax credit can provide a consistent source of dollars to pay for that marketing.
By giving more students the opportunity to earn a scholarship like this and by requiring it to be used at an in-state institution, we are building a better-trained workforce for Alaska and giving young people hope for their future
