I’m very proud ... Congratulations to Jenson and to Brawn, I think they truly deserved it and over the season they did a better job. After Brazil, coming here, we knew we had a strong package and the task was to take second and we succeeded. To do it with win is a fantastic result.
P1, Jenson Button P14, Sebastian Vettel P16, where are you now, well done Rubens, you beauty!
It was an overall a great performance. I think both Mark and I were surprised by the gap to Lewis. He’s been quick all weekend and the McLaren seems to be generally very strong here. We could see in the Q1 and Q2 that it would be difficult to match their pace, so I think this was the maximum we could do...
It was a good day for us ... I’m happy to get fifth, which is four points and pull one out on Rubens and only lose one to Sebastian Vettel. It was a good race. I go to Japan very positive for the next race.
Lewis has been strong all year and we saw in Q1 and Q2 it would be tough to match them (McLaren)
I think both Lewis and I were surprised at the gap between us. But Lewis has been strong all weekend and in general McLaren have been strong all weekend
I am very, very happy ... Good points [in Japan] for the championship. I think it looks a bit better now, so a shame only two races to go. But that's life. We are here to fight, so let's see. Anything is still possible as you can see. It can change quickly. As I've said many times already, I will fight ...
True, that kind of track as we have here in Suzuka suits our car very well, but we know the track in Sao Paolo so we can prepare well ... And we have demonstrated that our car works well on high-speed tracks like here but also in low-speed street circuits with low grip as in Singapore.
