It made no sense to me to first drop Shoaib Malik and then Mohammad Yousuf for the last match. I don't understand how this so-called rotation policy is benefiting the team. In fact, it is sending out the wrong messages to other players

It made no sense to me to first drop Shoaib Malik and then Mohammad Yousuf for the last match. I don't understand how this so-called rotation policy is benefiting the team. In fact, it is sending out the wrong messages to other players
I don't think so, because we are professionals and we have been training hard. The Sri Lanka tour was a long and hard one and we are prepared for the Champions Trophy challenge.
I think the ouster will hurt the confidence of Umar to a large extent. This should have not been done with him at this moment ... I will also not support the decision of dropping Shoaib Malik from the first ODI, since he is one of the best allrounders for this version of the game. Pakistan should have g...
It is no secret that Shahid Afridi, Misbah-ul-Haq, Shoaib Malik and couple of other players had complained about Younus to the PCB Chairman after Champions Trophy but the Chairman pacified them and instead rejected Younus's resignation and asked him to continue as captain till the 2011 50-overs World Cu...
I remember Shoaib Malik as captain used to smoke all the time
When you made Younis Khan the new captain after removing Shoaib Malik, you were obviously thinking long-term. If there was an attitude problem, if there are any factions (in the team) now then it was the job of the national team management to control it
What is this all about? We read nearly every player whether it is Shahid Afridi or Shoaib Malik giving statements on a regular basis. Doesn't the PCB have a contract with these players? Are there no regulations or rules for them?
Shafqat Rana has made an issue that Younis didn't want Muhammad Asif to play the semi-final although the team management felt he should play in place of Rana Naved. But Rana has not revealed the fact that it was Younis who insisted on playing Shoaib Malik [ Images ] and Mohammad Yousuf [ Images ] in the...
Not every player can perform in every match and not all 11 players can perform in all matches. But if we get two or three key performances in each match like Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Yousuf delivered against India then there is no reason we can't win the tournament
It was a great performance by our batsmen. We had a good start by Imran Nazir and Kamran Akmal. Myself chipped in and then Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Yousuf were fantastic
Kamran Akmal has now been opening regularly for us and we have also mentally prepared Shoaib Malik to fill in this role. But playing a makeshift opener gives us more options in the late order
Any team that has match-winners like Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik and the great Mohammad Yousuf should be taken seriously. Any team that has bowlers like (off spinner) Saeed Ajmal, has the ability to win major titles
