The first ‘Shrek’ film is still one of my favorites, but ‘Puss in Boots’ is a more than respectable offshoot, and at just 90 minutes long, it doesn’t have much time for the kitty humor to wear thin.

What the Shrek just happened?
Our design team comes up with these concepts, and then we travel to China and work with the artisans from the engineering standpoint to say, 'OK, this is Shrek's house … and in a perfect world, it's a wonky little tree stump. Will the ice support that?'
They are now inside the world of Far, Far Away and the swamp, and they're coming to Shrek's house for the holidays
Shrek lived a really good life
One of the things I do at the top of the show, is I go out by myself and open up this giant story book. And as soon as the audience sees me, sees Shrek, they start applauding, Just because Shrek is so iconic. And that’s so comforting. It’s like they’re on my side to begin with, just because I’m Shrek.
It takes place right after Donkey and Shrek have rescued the princess. Donkey realizes he can be whatever he wants to be, and he asks Shrek, well, who would you want to be?

Shrek is about not being afraid to just be who you are ... Shrek’s whole journey is learning that it’s OK to be yourself. And that it’s important not to let other people define you or put you in a box.

I love the movie Shrek. You know the cat steals the movie. I could not believe my luck when they asked me to play the part.
