View Photo »It was a concept (Shaq Vs) we collaborated on and I’m excited to see it flourish ... I enjoyed my time playing with him (O’Neal) and I hope he has a really successful run in Cleveland.
They’re a high-possession team ... No matter if you make or miss shots, they’re coming at you. Our biggest thing is we need to get back in transition, but we’ve got to have vision of the basketball. If you’re relaxed for half a second in transition, (point guard) Steve Nash is throwing the ball over the...
Playing in Toronto would be amazing for me in a lot of ways, but I don’t think it’s something that’s probably realistic
When he entered the League he looked just as mainstream as Steve Nash or Grant Hill - short haircut, no tats
Its one night out of 82 when you step on the floor but it's definitely more special than that with all the obvious things surrounding the game ... My history here, not only as a Canadian but spending many summers here with the National team, this feels like a home away from home for me. And the incredib...
They've been doing this a lot longer than we have ... They have a guy (Steve Nash) who is the master of it. You can score points, but if you have a three or four minute (stretch where) you don't, you miss shots, suddenly they're going to keep coming at you. You want to run but you have to control the te...
It was a good performance. Toronto is a really good team at home. We came out and took care of our responsibilities and got the win. We feel fortunate to get the win
I was joking, because we play basketball together, that I had an assist ... He says it's like Steve Nash to Amare Stoudemire, but it's more like Derrick Rose to Joakim Noah.
I think it's hypocritical. It's a shame that's what happened. My family's English and in England and Ireland you are taught from a young age not to cheat. Not to dive and not to do anything that would gain an unfair advantage. We English expect everyone to be that way but the truth is the rest of the wo...
You can see the determination in Steve Nash's face, Grant Hill, Jason Richardson and (Amare) Stoudemire ... They're on a mission this year, and I don't think it's just to make the playoffs. I think they want to win.
I was a free agent and it was natural to explore my options ... Some people said I was a little crazy going back to Phoenix because I wouldn't have as good a chance to win. I liked the team and coaches and I was comfortable.
Playing with Steve Nash is easy ... You just have to have good spacing and he'll find you. It's a thrill to play alongside Nash.
It would be nice if we could get some easy buckets, but it's difficult for us sometimes because we've got a lot of different players from when Mike D'Antoni was here ... Those days are over, and we've got to find a way to kind of pull it back out of ourselves with the new guys and get everyone kind of a...
It was mainly three things ... First, the opportunity to go out there and play. Second, the system that they run. And three, the guys and the chemistry. Steve Nash, Grant Hill, I knew Amar'e a little bit, Steve Kerr, Alvin Gentry called a few times . . .a lot went into it, but those guys definitely impa...
I went to the old-white-guy-at-the-YMCA shot and I was lucky to make something happen ... We scrapped, we fought and we swung the ball to L.B. for a big three as well. It was a great effort.
Very good point guards – and it doesn't stop there ... We come home and play Derrick Rose (of the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday) and then we have, I think it's Baron Davis and Steve Nash. It just keeps going.
I feel like it was unfair that the [NBA] team was taken away from the city
You can work on so many things, and there are variable factors with guys like Steve Nash or Gilbert Arenas. But there's the unpredictable. You're not really sure what's going to happen. He turns the corner, gets in the paint, he's very athletic and he looks as quick and as explosive as he did three year...
It’s a lot to ask to fill an arena for a pre-season NBA game, especially because it’s not the best of times.
They have a dynamic, healthy player, Gilbert Arenas, who can take your plans and effectively throw them out of the window, a little bit like what we saw with Steve Nash last night
I felt robbed a little bit when the Grizzlies left town ... It feels like a birthday for me. I think the city did a great supporting the team while they were here. They love basketball in British Columbia and it was really unfortunate and I think unfair in a lot of ways that they lost their team.
I told our guys we played hard and did a lot of good things, but we missed some easy shots ... Steve Nash is a two-time MVP, he was slicing and dicing us in the fourth quarter. You have to tip your cap to him, he's a great player.

If you have guys like Steve Nash, Grant Hill, Leandro Barbosa and Amare, you always have a chance to be successful and they'll be fun to watch ... I can't predict much more about them than that, but talent wins in this league and they have talent.
I don’t know. I’m pretty busy with the Whitecaps. Let’s worry about getting that franchise off to a good start in the MLS before we worry about an NBA team here.
