Not a lot has gone right for the Rams in 2009, no scoop there. The won-loss record doesn't lie — and the Rams are 1-8 entering Sunday's home game with the Arizona Cardinals. Full Article at St. Louis Post-Dispatch
The St. Louis Rams are 1-8, but the team is playing hard for first-year coach Steve Spagnuolo. St. Louis gave New Orleans a tussle last week before losing, and it probably won’t make life easy for Arizona on Sunday. Full Article at East Valley Tribune

Gregg does a good job in New Orleans ... He gets guys to play fast and anytime you do that, it lends itself to creating turnovers. When you add a Darren Sharper, who has a knack for the ball, all of a sudden the takeaways go way up. They're flying all over the place and they don't slow down to hit.
Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo loves collecting defensive linemen — a habit he picked up as defensive coordinator with the New York Giants. But strange as it sounds, that actually worked against defensive end Victor Adeyanju this season. Full Article at St. Louis Post-Dispatch

I think Marc has done everything we needed him to do ... I've said this before; it's not one position on the side of the ball, it's everybody. He has been a leader, he manages the game, gets the ball to 39 (running back Steven Jackson), and there are pieces that he is working through, too.
Coach Steve Spagnuolo said Thursday that Ah You will be placed on injured reserve - the ninth Ram this season and the third defensive lineman. Spagnuolo says Ah You has a torn anterior cruciate ligament after being injured during Wednesday's practice. Full Article at FOX Sports

When the schedule comes out and you see when your bye week is, everybody kind of goes, 'This is a good one, that's not a good one ... I want to say it was 2001 -- I can't remember which year in Philadelphia -- we had the bye after the second game. When you got the schedule, everybody was like, 'That is ...
The conventional wisdom would say that ... But I would throw this at you: In 2003 in Philadelphia, we had the bye after the second game. When we got that schedule, everybody was like, 'That's a terrible time to have the bye.' But we were 0-2 and had all kinds of injuries after the first two games. So it...
We're not going to be blinded by one game ... We're 1-7. There's a lot of things we've got to look at and get right. That's what we're going to try to do the better part of this week. We'll sprinkle in some New Orleans (preparation) stuff this week, too, to try to get ahead.
He is one of those guys that always seems to get himself open ... He's got really good hands and is a quality guy. He's got a little bit of size to him, and (GM) Billy (Devaney) and the staff had an eyeball on him from way back and, of course, Philadelphia kept him on the 53 (roster) for a reason.

Again, I'm going to be careful because he took a hit in there, too (against Minnesota)
That hurts you ... You can't do it and expect to win the game because it's hard enough getting down there. And that's a good (Minnesota) defense. Offensively, you look at the silver lining, we moved it all the way down there. The guys did something right to get it inside the 10, it's just from that poin...
We got a little more dinged today ... It's that time of the year in the NFL. Guys are going to be sore. They've just got to fight through 'em, and our guys are doing that.
In my opinion, it was more of the turnovers than the penalties (against San Francisco) ... Do we want to get rid of the penalties? Yeah. But it was more of the turnovers that hurt us and the lack of getting takeaways.
I believe we can get out of this, and work our way out of it ... It's going to take a lot of work. ... Those (lost) games are done. We move on to Minnesota. We try to learn from it and try to get better as a football team.
Alex and I spoke this morning; it'll remain between Alex and I ... It's like I told Alex. It's over, it's done, we move on. We start Wednesday, it's a clean slate and away we go to worry about Minnesota.
It was just something that I felt like we needed to do ... My reasons will remain with me. But we're going to move forward. I still believe in Alex Barron. We're going to need Alex Barron to win games.

That's true ... That's just a decision I made. That's not the way we go, that's not the norm. A guy makes a mistake, we're not going to pull people. It was just a decision I made, and we stuck with it. I have not lost confidence in Alex Barron, and next week we'll just move on.
I told the group I have a tremendous amount of confidence in Alex Barron ... I just felt that was something we had to do at that particular point.
What they're all about is a tremendously strong, tough, physical offensive line, and I include the fullback Moran Norris in there
Anything and everything that we want to accomplish this year is still in front of us ... It's way early. There's 13 weeks minimum left this season. Having said that, we're going to concentrate on only one week this one and that's San Francisco.
Every week is a new week and we’ve got a new challenge ... All we do is put the blinders on to face Green Bay.
I think it's great ... I think it's a reflection of the fans here in St. Louis. I've said it before we even had a home game, before we even started playing games — I think the fan in St. Louis is a great sports fan, an educated sports fan, and appreciates hard work. I saw that in the other pro sports ve...

The one thing about Adam you're going to know is no matter where he's going to have to plug-in; he's going to know what to do ... That's the kind of guy he is. That's what you need to be a back up in the NFL. I thought he did a real nice job.
We're disappointed ... There's no morale victories in the NFL, but I do think there is a lot of good there. Maybe some details here or there, and that thing turns.
It's not easy to go in there and basically be the quarterback of the defense as a rookie in your first NFL game ... He made some mistakes and he'll be the first to tell you, but I think they're things that are easily corrected. Overall, he played a real productive game. That's what he is, a productive g...
