I was a little confused by the whole thing, to tell you the truth ... It looked like he was going to give him the putt. Obviously, he didn't. We talked to Jim Furyk, and nothing was ever conceded. But from everybody standing there on the side, it kind of looked like he was going to give it to him.
Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Steve Stricker; you have all the best players in the world. At the end of the day, I want to challenge myself against the best and the only way of doing that is by playing in the best fields possible.
There was so much riding on the line ... There might be some tweaking again. Who knows? But I thought it provided a lot of excitement for the fans and the players. All the players coming in here this week had a legitimate chance at winning the FedEx Cup.
Most of the events I’ll play over there will have Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Steve Stricker playing in them ... I want to challenge the best and the only way to do that is by playing in the best fields possible.
It's all that stuff put together ... It's a great championship golf course. And then, you put together all the accolades that go along with playing here. Winning the tournament and possibly winning the FedEx Cup, put all that together and it makes the event pretty important.
Lee Westwood and Darren Clarke have tried playing there and it didn't really work out for them ... They were giving me advice based on their past experiences. They would rather stay in Europe but I want to venture out. Most of the events I will be playing in America will have Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson...
Since developing the FedEx, I think this tournament has taken on a bigger importance ... There's a lot more at stake here. I mean, first of all, the money, the prestige and winning the FedEx Cup. It has taken on much bigger importance.

He saw how Steve Stricker had his hands high, so he moved in closer to the ball and won two tournaments with that in mind ... When he sees Stricker at the Presidents Cup, I hope he gives him props.
They all want to play with Tiger, and now they all want to play with Steve Stricker ... Every text I'm getting is, 'I want to play with Steve.
