View Photo »This is my fourth head coach, I've had two interims ... Now that I have confirmation that Jeff is going to be the guy, I'm very excited. I've only heard good things about him. Now I'm jumping for joy.
You need a lot in the head coach…I think one you need one that is a leader, that knows how to, one, lead men, and secondly, listen to them, you know, when they tell you that some things need to be adjusted ... I think the most important is one that has a clear cut vision of what he wants for the franchi...
In this business, you know pretty much a decision was going to be made one way or another
You have those two guys on the inside and it makes for a very uphill battle in the running game ... They feed off of what they started there keeping guys under 100 yards and no rushing touchdowns this season. With that you compile wins and you compile the stats they are compiling, they are buying in and...
It came out negative ... We think it’s just a bicep contusion. I just kind of lost feeling in the arm there so we wanted to be safe with it. It came out negative, though.
We really schemed them well this game ... They are a great run defense, a great defense overall. We were finding success, we had some running lanes and myself and Cadillac were finding them and making the best of what they were giving us.
I think it’s important to try and come out with a win going into the offseason ... You ideally want to go into it with some high hopes and something to build off of. The 49ers are the divisional winner, and to have a win against them would put you in a mindset that you need to go into the offseason.
I believe it starts with Justin Smith ... He’s an animal. He has a motor that is non stop. He can go inside, he can go outside, he’s very disruptive in the running plays. You have to account for him.
I definitely look forward to the next five weeks ... I get to see him twice. He is a great football player and I respect him a lot.
We position ourselves a lot of times, especially the last four or five weeks, to win the games
At this point, we’re 2-9 on the season
It's not about my individual status, so I am a reflection of the team and if they consider the team bad then I feel like they're saying I'm bad
Physically both teams matchup really well
It affects it a little bit. That's why I have to try and get as many reps as I can throughout the week with those guys
The challenges that presents itself are both teams know each other really well
