Alastair Cook was in the showers and wasn’t allowed to come out ... Matt Prior was drumming a ball up and down, 100 times or more, and I was rocking on my chair. As every ball was bowled, I rocked back and then as it was survived I rocked forwards and blew into my hands like an owl. It was bizarre but I...
We expect all the injured players to make steady progress ... Stuart Broad, however, is in a lot of doubt for Friday and Sunday.
If England want me to go in at No 7, I'm always working very hard at my batting. As an ultimate goal I'd like to be a Test No 7 but we've also got the options of Adil Rashid, who has a good first-class record, and Luke Wright, who has really improved in the last six months and scored first-class hundred...

I also thoroughly enjoyed the Ashes series during the summer- was great to see my old schoolmate, Stuart Broad doing the business for England. I guess I'm Oakham's second most famous international sportsman now!
If England want to ruin Stuart Broad, it strikes me that they may be going the right way about it. Somebody tell me that he won't bat at number seven for the Test series in South Africa. Looking at the squad announced last week, it looks as if the selectors may be leaning that way, when it could be the ...
Stuart Broad is struggling a bit but we haven't ruled him out yet
You can't have Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann coming in and having to score runs. So, the top six know they have to do their jobs. It's very frustrating to watch when they get out but we know they are not doing it on purpose
