View Photo »I definitely feel like I'm really improving ... My shoulder feels like a new shoulder.
He got a lot of points, but he never was Taylor Hall or Ryan Ellis in junior. Those guys are obviously good players in the NHL as well, but he was never the front-runner to be a really good player. But playing with him, you knew he was good.
Hockey fans in this area are going to see some of the best young talent in the country ... Tulsa is going to be a great place for these players to take the next step in their hockey development and I know our fantastic Oilers fans are going to support these kids every step of the way.
He maybe didn’t get as much credit as he deserved, because we had Hallsy (Taylor Hall) and Ellie on our team, but he’s playing on a scoring line in New Jersey, power play, penalty killing
There is a winning and a losing culture out there ... I think we have a great room. We all like each other in the dressing room. But eventually it has to go from being a good team in the dressing room, having a lot of potential, to being a really good team on the ice.
If I have an option to get a solid pick and someone to help the current club, I have to strongly look at that. You listen to comments from players post-season. I think Taylor Hall was saying, ‘Yeah, we’ve got these good young kids, but I want to win. I want to show we can win in this city now.’ That’s l...
I’ve shown before with my injuries that I heal well and that I heal fast. I hope that’s the case this time
I’m absolutely still an Oilers fan. I want nothing more than for them to win Stanley Cups. I travel to watch them in Buffalo and Ottawa. I stay up late to watch them on Centre Ice. It would be a shame if the fruits of the last seven years — Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, etc. — were fr...
As players, we're all maturing
I definitely think we have a good, young core here and we're definitely exciting and we definitely have a lot of potential, but I think we were sitting here last year saying the exact same thing
I've never been knocked out or anything like that before
While I don't remember too much of the hit and I wasn't too great the other night, I woke up yesterday morning feeling pretty good and woke up this morning feeling even better so I'm just going to take it day-by-day. Nobody is even guessing at a timeline, especially after what happened to Sidney Crosby....

I lost an edge and I don’t know if it hurt or helped me regarding the hit
If I feel like I do (Sunday), I don’t see why I can’t come back in a reasonable amount of time ... With a concussion there is no set timeline. It’s not like you’re out two to four weeks or three to six weeks. It’s whenever you feel good and don’t have symptoms and I don’t have symptoms and I feel good a...
There was a four or five second time-line where I don’t remember anything. That is scary, but like I say, I feel back to normal
We feel the same way ... With the comments that (Jay) Feaster made in the off-season and everything, if there’s any team we want to knock out of the playoffs, it’s definitely Calgary. We want this game to be meaningful, for them to lose points and to lose confidence.
We know how the fans have supported us all year and that it’s going to be rocking ... We want to give them something to cheer about and hopefully send Calgary home not happy.
I wasn’t here for this last year, I was hurt, so this is the first time I’ve really been a part of this
We can show we’re a lot better than our record suggests. We want to show we do have some drive in this locker room
I was two goals behind him for a bit and I always bragged that I had more goals per game
