View Photo »You want to tell a driver who's coming in from Texas or California, who's unfamiliar with these roads, to take a ramp down, do a double zigzag, and then ramp up again during rush-hour traffic? ... It doesn't make sense.
sparked by a combination of anger at the federal government and the deaths of political dissenters at Ruby Ridge, Idaho, and Waco, Texas
I don't think there could be a better matchup than Texas and Alabama
At the start of this year, California had a 180-rooftop lead ... If real estate continues to restrain California's economy, Texas may well overtake California in the next year or so.
And me being from Houston, Texas, there weren't many outlets for me and for the girls (in Destiny's Child)
I can't imagine it. It's not what voters do ... There's no precedent for that to happen. It's not like Texas was playing New Mexico State today.
Texas may not be the unanimous No. 2 in the polls. TCU will get some votes, Cincinnati will too, but there's no reason to think Texas won't be No. 2 ... I'm not sure I would vote Texas No. 2 but I think most people will.

They range from 18-year-old privates who joined us while we were on deployment in theater up to my senior NCO who works as my right-hand man and has been in the Army for 20 years ... There’s guys from California, from Texas, from Maine. They’re from all over so it’s hard to put your finger on it. That’s...
I think if I was her, I would try to have the aspirations to become the next Middle Tennessee or become the next Old Dominion, which has stayed at the forefront all through the years by playing a tremendous nonconference schedule and then just wearing out people in conference ... If I'm her, I try to li...
I think we got enough on our resume to play for the national title ... We just have one little wrinkle to iron out, and that's Nebraska taking care of Texas, we can argue the fact about strength of schedule with TCU, but it's up to the voters and the computers now.
We’re eight percent of the economy but we lost only four percent of the jobs ... We’re also one of the first areas emerging from the downturn. Oil prices are up, as is the gas futures market. Technology is one of the lead sectors emerging from this recession, and Texas builds a lot of the gadgets people...
We played very well the other night at Texas for 35, 36 minutes, but caved on. Nikola and Vucevic Marcus Johnson each scored 12 points for the Trojans, who host Sacramento State on Tuesday. Oliver was 4 for 8 on 3-point attempts as the Jackets finished 8 of 19 beyond the arc. The freshman's performance ...

DiNardo wired $2 million dollars to SLM's account in McAllen, Texas, without any agreement or paperwork or signature from SLM or Garcia
We have this high amplitude pattern with a big kink in the jet stream, which funneled large amounts of cold air into Texas while it was warm in Boston and on the West Coast
I like Mack Brown at Texas
When I came back home I had to ask myself this question: Can I better serve the people of this part of the state as an experienced member of the Texas Senate who knows the budget or a freshman Republican in Washington D.C.? ... And the answer was relatively simple for me – I’d probably do more good in A...
I have to stay unbiased. I am in the state of Texas. I do have Texas fans that are also TCU fans

I do think that it is a showcase for both of them ... And it will be a showcase for (Colt) McCoy (of Texas) against Nebraska.
I don't think we get the respect of a Kansas league or a Texas league ... We have teams that play for national championships, too, and looking at both leagues ... I've watched four games in Kansas and I think it's comparable. Fort Scott, Snow, Arizona Western, I think all those teams are pretty close.
