View Photo »I know everyone wants to talk about last week's game, but that was last week's game ... I'm not so concerned with last week's game at this point. I've moved on to Miami and the mourning period is over. That game's come and gone and we can't do anything to change it, so let's go play Miami. I think that'...
It’s a friendship thing you develop ... It’ll be interesting to play against him. Not exactly the same, but similar to having to coach against (New England head coach) Bill (Belichick) and play against (New England QB) Tom (Brady). There are a number of teams where you have some acquaintances, and this ...
I'm not so concerned with last week's game at this point. I've moved on to Miami ... The mourning period is over.
Tom Brady was also shut out by the women, with Jessica Simpson's ex Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo claiming the top slot. Gisele Bundchen's husband was buried beneath a pile of sexy QB's including Philip Rivers, Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Brett Favre and Peyton Manning, leading us to believe...
In the NFL, playing from ahead is always important
If I was to start a team, I'd look for a quarterback who is intelligent and who is tough ... Tom Brady's one of the toughest guys I know. Same with Drew Brees. It's not a contact sport, it's a collision sport. And the quarterback is usually the pinball in that collision.
But that's not the goal this week. The goal this week is to beat Miami and to play a better game than we played last week. We're 7-4
At the end of the day, the quarterback knows who’s got his back. People who really know football, who are true football fans, know that you’re nothing without your offensive and defensive lines. If you don’t have a good offensive line, you could have both Tom Brady and Peyton Manning back there to throw...
Matt’s been a very consistent, durable player for us ... It was a tough injury he had against Denver, but he doesn’t seem to miss much of a beat. He came out there and played a great game when Sebastian was out, so we have some great depth at tackle.
I feel I'm a pretty accurate passer, a pro-style quarterback, I think ... I'm a pocket passer like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. I think I'm a similar-style quarterback to them. I won't say I'll have the success they have, but maybe I'll be close one day.
The ultimate goal is something you set out early in the season ... It’s the reason why we’re all here, trying to commit ourselves to winning Super Bowls and so forth. But that’s not the goal for this week. This week is to beat Miami and to play a better game than we played last week.
Man, JaMarcus is extremely good ... You have to remember a quarterback can only be as good as his supporting cast. Case closed. Always will be. You put a Tom Brady or a Peyton Manning, you take them out of their supporting casts, you take them out of the elements they're in now, and you put them in JaMa...
The mourning period is over ... That game has come and gone and we can’t do anything to change it, so let’s go play Miami. I think that’s the attitude in the locker room.
Peyton Manning is the best pure quarterback in the NFL, but Tom Brady is my quarterback with a minute left and we’re down four points and we need a touchdown because he’s done it.
You have to be sharp ... You have to be on it. The momentum changes can happen very quickly and once you lose the momentum, it’s like playing a different team when you go back out there for the next series. It’s important when you have a team that’s reeling, that you keep piling it on so they don’t ever...
I really question whether he can play ... Quarterbacks need to make their team better. If it's a bad team, they can even make a bad team better. Somebody may say well, even Peyton Manning couldn't help the Bears. Yes, he could. Tom Brady could, too. They might not win the championship or get to the play...
I remember what kind of confidence we had taking the field as an undefeated team and knowing that if we played a good game it was going to be almost impossible for teams to beat us ... But if you don't play well you do get beat, as evidenced by what happened in the Super Bowl that year.
I’ve been with Peyton Manning for seven years ... I’ve seen him prepare, and I’ve seen what he does and how he’s lead our team. There is no other quarterback that I would want, and I might see it differently if I had been with Tom Brady for seven years. But that’s the experience I had and I can’t imagin...
You never forget that day ... That was pretty unbelievable for all of us. A lot of us you know, your first chance to play in a Super Bowl and winning the Super Bowl, and of course the circumstances of that year with 9-11 happening and U2 performing at halftime — that was pretty unbelievable.
Peyton Manning is the best pure quarterback in the National Football League, but Tom Brady is my quarterback with a minute left and we're down four points and we need a touchdown because he's done it
The defense is getting a lot of turnovers (five on Sunday). We're getting the ball in in the red zone (3 touchdowns, 1 field goal in four trips against the Jets, whose defense came into the game ranked third in the NFL). We're just still doing a few things that are hurting us ... but even with those thi...
I came onto a team with Tom Brady and Randy Moss, so I kind of got over that ... I’m just ready to go out there and beat him. Obviously, it’s going to be a great challenge. He’s a great quarterback in this league.
Coach always says the season starts after Thanksgiving
It's an interesting year, because you really have the haves and the have-nots ... There are some bad football teams. Cleveland is a bad football team. The Rams are a bad football team. Oakland offensively is not good. The Redskins offensively are not a good football team. Then you see the superstars are...
I’m looking forward to what’s ahead ... Coach always says the season starts after Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving is Thursday. We have six regular season games left and the Saints are good. Coach said they’re probably the toughest opponent we’ve faced this year, right there with the Colts. I’m glad we’re...
