Cronulla coach Ricky Stuart has taken aim at officials over their decision to send Sharks captain Trent Barrett to the sin bin for an alleged grapple tackle in Saturday's narrow 14-10 loss to Melbourne. Barrett was binned late in the first half when... Full Article at Sportal Australia
Cronulla's cause wasn't helped by its own ill-discipline, with Inglis' 35th-minute try coming moments after skipper Trent Barrett was sin-binned for one ruck indiscretion too many, that penalty one of 20 blown throughout a game which failed to find any... Full Article at The Age

No. I spoke to him (Cummins) the set before and he said 'just watch there's too many penalties'. There was nothing about a grapple and that's frustrating because I didn't have him around the head anyway.
There was drama right on halftime with Storm winger Anthony Quinn put on report for a raised elbow to the throat of Paul Gallen which sparked a mini brawl, Scott Porter kicking the ensuing penalty to cut the gap to two points. CRONULLA skipper Trent... Full Article at Herald Sun
Barrett says taking on the competition's leading side – and current world club champions - at Toyota Stadium will give the Sharks a solid indication of where they may be headed in 2010. "It is a good time for us to play them first up. If we can beat... Full Article at Sportal Australia
However, a long, miserable campaign littered with dramas off the field, defeats on it and a casualty list that would have seemed far fetched in an episode of ER, left Barrett wondering why he'd left the stability of English giants Wigan for the chaos... Full Article at The Age

He's one of the best in the world at the moment. It'll be a tough job for me and Trent [five-eighth Trent Barrett] to find ground with him there
“I guess we'll see how they play and how I play and with injuries and stuff. “Sticky (Stuart) just said play well, organise well and see what happens. I don't think he's too scared of making changes so if he has to make a change hopefully I'll be able... Full Article at Fox Sports Australia
Barrett, who is a natural number 6, has been asked to play half plenty of times throughout his career and is confident in the role. Anthony Mundine played five-eighth during the infancy of St George Illawarra, forcing Barrett to half-back, while the... Full Article at ABC Online

It is a good time for us to play them first-up. If we can beat them or put up a real good showing the club can get a lot of confidence
Everyone loves a feel-good bounce-back story. But I'm not everyone. Personally, I prefer watching a train wreck unfold no matter how predictable it may be. So how does a winless season sound? With Ricky Stuart punted in the opening month and Trent Barrett playing NSW Cup by Origin season. Perhaps.
It is a good time for us to play them first up, if we can beat them or put up a real good showing the club can get a lot of confidence and maybe gain some momentum early in the year
You want a decent shot at winning one. But you never know where the next premiership is coming from. Players like Trent Barrett and Paul Gallen have busted their arse to win one. That's a real desire of mine because I haven't won one.
It'll be a real test for him, the length of the season
Albert did some good things ... And then 'Ports' came on with his good kicking game. We've got some good young players coming through, and there's 'Gal' to come back for the first round, which will obviously give us a lift. But we need to control the footy - you can't turn over that much of it and hope ...
We dropped too much ball in the first half and we didn't control the ruck
I'd love to play in the Origin this year - it's something I thought we made a bit of ground in last year in game two and three
We want to make the semis - that's our biggest focus and I think we've got the team to do it
