When I was playing for Real Madrid, we competed in the UEFA Champions League most of the time and won it three times. When we didn't win we always ended up in the later rounds. I sincerely want to win the UEFA Cup too because I feel its absence.

Fiorentina will be disappointed with their elimination from the Champions League, but hopefully they can qualify for the UEFA Cup. The Viola have demonstrated that they are a great team, with Prandelli they have gotten to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup and were fourth in the league last year. They will be even more motivated because of the losses in recent games.
I didn't see you criticising it last season when we got to the last 16 of the Champions League and Rangers got to the UEFA Cup final.
Everybody thought there were only two teams in it, Roma and Chelsea, but there is a third, Bordeaux. I'm proud of that. I'm proud for the club as well. We can continue to hope and we are still alive. We are going to play in the UEFA Cup at least, but when you taste the Champions League, you want to have more.
On final day, you know that all your efforts will be rewarded ... It's one of the best feelings that a player can have. The dream of lifting the trophy will naturally motivate you. And UEFA finals have significant importance as they are among the most prestigious trophies that a player can win in his career.
