I really enjoyed the Scotland job
I enjoyed my time there [with Scotland] but it was me who made the conscious decision to leave
The pressure is on us to win our games, that's what we have to do ... That's what makes it so disappointing to lose a late goal. At least we acquitted ourselves in a better manner than the first game, which was as poor a performance as we have had in Europe since I came back.
I don’t know what to expect crowd wise. If we were to read the press in Scotland we are not quite sure how many people will turn up to the game
David Murray stepped down and they’ve placed a representative of the bank on the board ... It is not a situation anybody wants the club to be in
When David Murray stepped away from Rangers I felt that was a bad thing for Rangers ... He has tried as hard as he could over the 20 years to invest in the club and now we do not have that situation. The quicker that gets cleared up the better it will be for Rangers.
We are obviously pleased that he is back in the squad ... We hadn't envisaged the problem he would have coming back from Algeria last week. But that's finished with now and we just look forward to getting him back on the pitch.
It will mean that the other teams \[in Scotland\] will have an opportunity to be successful
I stress to you, if we are going to keep a high profile in Scotland then something like that needs to happen
I feel we have had a slow start to the season as I've mentioned on a number of occasions ... We probably needed a game like that to, hopefully, kick-start our season. We've got Celtic back to a point now, but it's no use unless we carry that on to the next lot of games we have.
That is a manager's life ... If you take a job, especially in Scotland, that [the criticism] happens to you. And it happens to you regardless of previous circumstances. That isn't what bothers me; what bothers me is that we haven't started the season the way I would have hoped. That gets to me more than...

Stuttgart had a fantastic end to last season and they went on a great run of form to finish third in the Bundesliga. Any team can have a shaky start to a season and they are only five games into their league campaign.
Walter Smith OBE (born February 24, 1948 in Lanark) is a Scottish former football player, but is better known as a football manager. He is currently the manager of Scottish Premier League club Rangers, his second spell in that capacity with the club. Full Article
