From one cricket-mad nation to another, we salute the 'Little Master'. I'm advised his young team-mate Yuvraj Singh [ Images ] has started calling the 36-year-old grandfather. Where that places a 52-year-old like me, I'm not sure
I don't think it was a 27/5 wicket. Our bowlers did agreat job. The way they started after second ball of the day went for six was really remarkable. We used the new ball very well and made the most of whatever was there this morning. Couple of good balls when Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir got out....
I think he (Dhoni) has no place in the top order. You have Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar at the top and Gautam Gambhir comes next. Yuvraj Singh is at his best at number four and so Dhoni comes after him
It is a very difficult choice to make because if you see our batting order, Sehwag and Sachin open the innings, with Gautam Gambhir at number three and Yuvraj Singh at number four. The next slot available is number five, and depending on the strength of individual players, who can have a bigger impact o...
There I was bowling to the likes of Matthew Hayden, Adam Gilchrist and Yuvraj Singh. That's the kind of opposition you get in international cricket and once I bowled well against them, I knew I was ready to return to the Indian team.
Cricket is mainly being played out among three people —Sachin Tendulkar, M.S. Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh. So in that sense Bollywood is definitely more accessible
the absence of the three match winners - Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan did affect the Indian team's prospects at the Champions Trophy; however their return will strengthen the team in upcoming series.
Yuvraj Singh is always an asset. We rely a lot on him, especially in the middle overs. Viru is also not here. We have always relied on part-timers. Out of the five part-timers we had, we lost three, including Rohit Sharma. It will be tough for us to fill in their space not only in batting but in bowling...
Both the teams in my book are equally balanced. While India has a stronger batting line up despite the absence of Yuvraj Singh Pakistan has a much better and more penetrative bowling attack
Yuvraj Singh has fractured a finger in his right hand and has been ruled out for six weeks. The selectors have chosen Virat Kohli as replacement for Yuvraj Singh
That result still hurts. A score of 250 was considered safe, but we were undone by brilliant batting from Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, backed by Rahul Dravid and Yuvraj Singh
It hurts. I played that match. We scored 270 and still lost. A score of 250 in these conditions is considered safe. But the way Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag batted, and backed by Rahul Dravid and Yuvraj Singh, we lay beaten. That defeat still hurts
