George Weston drives his Bobcat towards the scale in the Agriculture Hall at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds, Bloomsburg, Pa., Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, with a 1,045 pound pumpkin on the forks as, from left, Steve Price, Bob Parks and Ken Carlson, Supervisor of Agriculture give Weston directions. The pumpkin which is this year's biggest entree in the Bloomsburg Fair was grown by John Hilstolsky of Wyoming. The state's largest fair opens Saturday and runs through Sept. 27.

John (Carlson) did a good job against him ... He (Tavares) scored, but it was a power-play goal and there's not much you can do about that. It was an accident -- Scott Aarssen got his stick up. It wasn't on purpose.
We were just on a strong forecheck and John Carlson got it to me ... I didn't really look and just shot it and it trickled in. That was a momentum-taker.
This time, the first three games could be up in the air ... NHL camps are starting later and we might not have Akim back by then. (New defenceman) John Carlson and Justin Taylor may still be gone.
Last year, John Carlson was here, so he was sort of my mentor ... I learned everything from him. Now this year, I've got to take everything that I learned and translate it to the field.
