View Photo »Thanks to the hard work of the House, we are just two steps away from achieving health insurance reform in America. Now the United States Senate must follow suit and pass its version of the legislation
I see this as a bill that hurts Medicare patients ... I think it continues to spend massively at a time when we're losing jobs and the government's going into massive debt. It does not directly address what was the stated purpose from Obama and others -- which was to save money.
America's bonds with our Israeli allies are unbreakable ... Israel will not find security as long as Palestinians are in despair. We will never loose sight of our shared purpose for a just and lasting peace in Israel, in Palestine and in the arab World.
Without President Obama in the White House, this victory would not have been possible. He provided the vision and the momentum for us to get the job done for the American people.
Now is the time to finish the job ... I urge members of Congress to rise to this moment, answer to the call of history and vote yes for health insurance reform for America.
Al-Qaida can operate anyplace. The planning for what happened on 9/11 didn't come from Afghanistan. It came from a hotel room in the United States or Germany. It came from the country they were in
America's bonds with our Israeli allies are unbreakable ... Israel will not find security as long as Palestinians are in despair. We will never loose sight of our shared purpose for a just and lasting peace in Israel, in Palestine and in the arab World.
It's clear that Hezbollah no longer controls the border, due to the presence of Unifil [United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon] troops
To all who seek peace I say tonight, you will always have a partner in the United States of America and in my administration ... That's why we've been working aggressively for our clear goal, two states living side by side in peace and security.
Charlie Crist helped pass Barack Obama's spending program
served on battlefields from Lexington to Antietam, Normandy to Manila, Inchon to Khe Sanh, Ramadi to Kandahar
It is no exaggeration to say ... that legal reporting in Ireland has yet to find its Des Cahill or Joshua Rosenberg (of the BBC and Daily Telegraph).
From now until Veterans Day I ordered the flags at the White House and other federal buildings to be flown at half-staff
Because India is your friend, and the longtime policies of America and India converge. Between you and the Indians, you will fuck us in every way. The truth is that our weapons are less of a problem for the Obama Administration than finding a respectable way out of Afghanistan.
Although Botswana is not a large country, it is truly one of the extraordinary success stories in Africa
President Obama’s election hasn’t brought the breath of fresh air to the climate talks many had hoped for. Instead, it’s seen as a perpetuation of Bush-era efforts to disrupt and water down attempts to agree to a strong treaty, as Obama tries to bring the whole world down to his own low level of ambitio...
The need for such a measure was made clear by the jobs report that we received this morning ... Although we lost fewer jobs than we did last month, our unemployment rate climbed to over 10 percent -- a sobering number that underscores the economic challenges that lie ahead.
Obama helps sway undecided Texas Dems to vote for the health care bill
outstanding success ... a great partner to the United States.
Really inspirational speeches like the Iowa caucus victory speech set expectations for Obama’s rhetoric that would have been difficult to meet, and he hasn’t met them
moved on a path of good economic management and outstanding political governance ... And as a consequence, you have seen extraordinary improvements in living standards over the last 40 years in Botswana that really are an envy for much of the rest of the continent.
He is a tool of our imperialist enemies and we demand our freedom. And we demand that Obama withdraw all the troops from Afghanistan right now.
I know what they're saying now: 'Kids grow up so fast,' ... Only in America could the adoptive son of Crow Indians grow up to become president of the United States.
The whole thing is being driven at the moment by Obama, and what we do over the next few months has to reflect whatever he decides to do as the main player.
Hold on, no shouting now ... But I would love to come to Alaska, absolutely.
