I have said to (owner) Drayton McLane and the Houston club that that's a decision they have to make.

I'd like to thank Drayton McLane, Tal Smith, and Ed Wade for the opportunity to be part of an organization that has a storied history of developing All-Star players
I'm sure at some point in the next few days we'll sit down with (owner) Drayton (McLane) and Tal and Ed and talk about it ... In years past, he's shot me an e-mail and asked what time to be there, but I don't know this year.
I'm very proud of Drayton McLane and the Houston Astros for doing what they've done. I can tell you they won't be sorry. Cecil Cooper is a classy guy who deserves an opportunity and I'm very confident he'll do very well.
We were able to use the first option, being able to line up the fracture without having to do too many incisions ... He has two incisions, but they’re very small. We’re not planning another surgery. I think this is going to successfully treat the problem, so that will be good, the best-case scenario. If we had a little more time in the season, we would probably try to push things.
