Gordon Smith has benefited personally and politically from Ted Stevens and his fountain of cash ... Smith should have done the right thing and returned the money when Stevens was first indicted, but he should certainly do the right thing now.
Who says Gordon Smith helped lead the fight for better gas mileage and a cleaner environment? ... Barack Obama. He joined with Gordon and broke through a 20-year deadlock to pass new laws, which increased gas mileage for automobiles. Gov. Ted Kologoski praised their bipartisan partnership.
We're not going to try to change too much ... We'll try to fix little things here and there. (Last season) was just a start for them. There are definitely more podiums, more wins for this group and I think there's a really good shot that they can go for the downhill and super-G titles on the World Cup.
