They are going to be replacing a lot of the base of the road and taking care of some of the water issues ... The Badlands soil is mostly clay and so it’s very unstable and sometimes it absorbs its weight in water. So the roads are continually shifting and there are a couple of critical spots so that’s why we need to do it now before it gets too late, before its winter.
It’s time ... We are just doing a few pieces of it first because they are the most critical.
I would encourage that people get out and hike and there are still some beautiful opportunities this fall to get out and do that ... People can still come and camp and go into the visitor’s center and things like that.
At the park level we would be concerned about anything that could decrease the visibility or air quality at Theodore Roosevelt National Park ... Visibility and clean air are very important for the park.
